About

Vision

It is the vision of the Rex the Rhino Conservation Fund to collaborate with existing rhino protection agencies towards well equipped, trained, highly motivated field rangers for rhino conservation and conservation in general in Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park and other areas of Southern Africa.

Objectives

Acquiring support for rhino conservation programmes (specifically in iMfolozi-Hluhluwe) while ensuring transparency and accountability to donors and the public.

Supporting the field rangers in their anti-poaching and rhino conservation efforts in Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park and further afield where possible

Ensuring that funds raised are used as identified by the anti-poaching field staff, reserve managers and veterinary services and not used up in administrative activities

Rex’s Support Team

As a Non Profit Company, the organisation has three Directors – Frank Carlisle, Malcolm Organ and Paul Cryer, who all donate their time and expertise to the management of the organisation.

Our commitment with the Foundation, right from the start, was that all funds donated to the organization would go directly towards the support of the iMfolozi-Hluhluwe game guards, those who put their lives at risk in the line of duty while keeping our Rhino’s safe.

For the past ten years we have proudly invested your donations and have bought equipment, veterinary medications, invested in vehicle upgrades and maintenance, fuel, uniforms, electric fencing, solar panels and more.  As long as we can, we will continue with this commitment.
